Need Help?
The Capital Area United Way launched 2-1-1 service on March 27, 2007. Residents of Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, Jackson and Hillsdale Counties can now dial 2-1-1 and be connected to this free service 24/7, 365 days a year. Callers will be connected to a live call specialist who can refer them to community programs such as rent and utility assistance, food, shelter, substance abuse services, counseling, clothing, furniture, free tax preparation and much more. Residents can also call if they want to volunteer or donate items in the community. As of yet 2-1-1 does not work on cell and pay phones. For now cell and pay phone users can dial toll-free (866) 561-2500 to be connected to the service. For more information on 2-1-1 in the Greater Lansing area contact Suzanne at (517) 203-5033.
Since this service is in its infancy, please let us know if you encounter any problems connecting with 2-1-1 by calling 203-5033. We will work to resolve the issue immediately. Thank you.
