Day of Action (June 21):
It is a day full of volunteers—families, friends, neighbors, businesses, and non-profits across the nation—working together to advance the common good for all in the areas of health, education, and financial stability.  This year on June 21 a parade of human services mobile units will be out and about in the Greater Lansing Community extending free and low cost services including a health mobile, book mobile, mobile food pantry, and financial fitness/check-up stations.

Capital Area United Way's Days of Caring
The United Way's Days of Caring will take place on Friday, September 26 from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 27 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  Volunteers will be sent out to a wide variety of projects at various nonprofit organizations in our tri-county area.  Examples of projects include landscaping, painting, a neighborhood cleanup and sorting food.  Lots of volunteers are needed!  Individuals and groups are welcome.  All volunteers will receive lunch and an event t-shirt.  To sign-up e-mail Patricia Hemingway at p.hemingway@capitalareaunitedway.org or call (517) 203-5022
