Capital Area United Way’s Volunteer Center is hosting a Volunteer Management Training Series on March 15, 16, and 17 at Peckham Vocational Industries in Lansing. The Series will consist of five 3-hour training sessions. Local experts will present the sessions.
Session 1 will take place on Monday, March 15.
Sessions 2 and 3 will take on Tuesday, March 16.
Sessions 3 and 4 will take place on Wednesday, March 17.
The session topics include Understanding Volunteering and Planning Your Volunteer Program, Recruiting and Placing Volunteers, Orienting and Training Volunteers, Supervising and Recognizing Volunteers, and Evaluating Your Volunteer Program. At each session snacks will be provided, as well as interactive exercises, and opportunities for networking and for questions and answers. For lunch, participants will find food reasonably priced at nearby eateries and at Peckham’s on-site cafeteria. Please click here for the brochure and instructions on how to register.
